Brogan is a moderate dog, standing 23" at the withers and weighing approximately 65 lbs.  He carries a proper coat, light to medium gold in color, with ample feathering.  Brogan's topline is level and strong.  His side gait effortless and efficient.  He has full dentition and scissors bite.  His pigment is very good, black with no fading.  His front is correct with well layed back shoulders, proper upper arm and deep forechest.  He has an excellent work ethic, which should be expected given his pedigree is so rich in versatile, multi-purpose dogs.  Brogan has many good qualities, but the one I am most proud of is his impeccable temperament.

"Primarily A Hunting Dog..."

Brogan's first titles were earned in the field.  He earned the WC (Working Certificate) in December 2006 on his first attempt.  He quickly followed up with his JH (Junior Hunter) and SHR (Started Hunting Retriever).

Agility Ability

Now that Brogan has finished his breed Championship, we can spend more time doing the things he really loves.  We're currently working at the Excellent level in agility.

Rally Together

Brogan made his Rally debut September 26, 2008 at the Golden Retriever Club of America's National Specialty.  It was a huge class and the weather didn't cooperate.  Tropical Storm Kyle came through and made for a very wet day.  We still had fun and earned our first leg with a score of 99 out of 100.

On The Right Track

Brogan's mother, Nikita, has many titles, one of which is Champion Tracker.  This is a very prestigious accomplishment and puts her among the elite of those dogs active in tracking.

In honor of this admirable title, the theme "Nose" was chosen for her first litter.  Brogan is from that litter and his registered name became Mirasol Nose No Blarney.

With several of Brogan's littermates already sporting TD's and TDX's, it's time we get busy and put Brogan's "Nose" to work.
It's in the genes.
